Who we are
Gifted Islamic Foundation Tahfeez School (GIFTS) is at 20A Muyibat Oyefusi Crescent, Omole Phase 1, Ikeja, Lagos. We decide how the information you send us is used. You can reach us at [email protected] or 0703 021 0008.
What we collect
When you use the online application form we collect:
- About the child: full name, date of birth, gender, nationality, current or previous school, class applied for, current Qur’an recitation level, and any learning, medical or support needs you choose to share.
- About the parent or guardian: name, relationship to the child, phone number, email address, occupation (optional) and home address. A second parent or guardian is optional.
- Admission details: programme, preferred start date, how you heard about us, and any additional information you write.
- Documents you upload: the child’s birth certificate and passport photograph, and, if you choose, a school report, immunisation record or other supporting files.
We do not ask for National Identification Numbers or parent identity documents on the form. Please do not send passwords or records that are not needed for admission.
Why we use it
We use this information to review the application, place the child in the right class, contact the family, arrange any assessment, and care for the child’s health and wellbeing if a place is offered. We rely on the consent of the parent or legal guardian who submits the form. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.
Who handles it
We use a few service providers to run the website and receive applications:
- FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) receives the form and delivers it to our school email. It may show a short security check after you press send.
- Google provides the email service (Gmail) where applications are received and stored.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and processes standard technical data, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect it.
These providers may process information on servers outside Nigeria. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set cookies and does not use advertising or analytics trackers. Fonts are served from this website, not from a third party. If you switch between light and dark appearance, your choice is saved in your own browser and is never sent to us. Links such as WhatsApp open a different service with its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep application information only for as long as we need it to decide on the application and, if the child enrols, to run the pupil’s school record. After that we delete it or archive it securely. Ask us if you would like to know what is currently held about your family.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, or stop using it in certain ways. Contact us at [email protected] or 0703 021 0008 and we will respond. You also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Children
Applications must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian. We only ask for the information about a child that is needed for admission and care.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we receive. No method of sending information over the internet or by email is completely secure, so please share only what is needed.
Changes
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date above.
